BMR has joined the Canada Green Building Council

BMR has just recently (in 2004) joined the Canada Green Building Council, a voluntary coalition committed to leading the environmental movement in the building industry (see - www.cagbc.ca). The Council uses the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system to measure how "green" a building is. We currently have two "LEED" accredited professionals at BMR.

The Canada Green Building Council is a broad-based inclusive coalition of representatives from different segments of the design and building industry.

The Council will work to:

• change industry standards
• develop best design practices and guidelines
• advocate for green buildings
• develop educational tools to support its members in implementing sustainable design and construction practices
